John Metz – piano, harpsichord
Pianist, Harpsichordist and composer JOHN METZ received a Master’s Degree in Piano from Syracuse University and a DMA in Harpsichord from The Juilliard School. From 1968 to 1978 he held the position of Pianist in Residence at Concordia College, in Moorhead, MN. In 1980 he joined the faculty of Arizona State University, where he built an early music program and taught harpsichord. In 1999 he became Artistic Director of the Connecticut Early Music Festival. In 2004 he and his wife settled in Waterford, CT, where they taught piano and cello. They have since returned to Arizona (Gold Canyon).
John’s compositions have been performed from Montreal to Charleston S.C., from Albany New York to San Francisco, where the Soli Deo Gloria choir included his Noel on their seasonal concerts.by John Metz
